Ospreys Compete in Five Events at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. – Stockton University student-athletes competed in three women's events and two men's events at the famous Penn Relays on Friday. The Ospreys set one school record and won one event.
 
Kayla Sullivan (Manahawkin/Delaware Valley), Emma Conroy (Matawan/Matawan), Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) and Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne) won the College Women's 4x400 CTC race with a time of 3:53.54 that was just two-tenths of a second off the school record. The Ospreys topped a group of five teams in the race, three NCAA Division II and two Division III.
 
Isabel Duval (Old Bridge/Old Bridge), Adrienne Austin (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley), Cameron Radcliffe (Point Pleasant/Pt. Pleasant Boro) and Marlie DiPalma (Hackettstown/Pope John XXIII) broke the school record in the 4x100 relays by two-hundredths of a second with a time of 49.23 seconds that was good for 12th place out of 22 teams in the College Women's 4x100 Eastern.
 
Carson Latham (Bordentown/Bordentown), Cruz Lewis (Egg Harbor Twp./Atlantic Christian), Anthony McCullough (Hi-Nella/Sterling) and Devante Greene (Pennsauken/Pennsauken) placed 10th out of 21 in the College Men's 4x100 Eastern with a time of 42.61 seconds. The Ospreys missed qualifying for the finals by just eight hundredths of a second.
 
Michaela Pomatto (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) finished 14th out of 26 in the College Women's Javelin with a season best of 41.99 meters. Pomatto was one of just two Division III competitors in a field that included throwers from Rutgers, Pitt, Clemson Harvard and UConn among others.
 
Eduardo Ruiz-Giuseppi (Flemington/Hunterdon Central), Joseph deBeaumont (Blackwood/Highland), Darnell Cartwright (Bridgeton/Cumberland) and Landon Jenter (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) placed fourth out of eight teams in the College Men's 4x400 CTC with a time of 3:22.06.
 
The Stockton teams are competing in the TCNJ Lions Invitational on April 25-26.
