Vandegrift Voted CLC Rookie of the Year; Phillips & Parker All-Conference

Galloway, N.J. – Three Stockton University men's lacrosse players received honors from the Coastal Lacrosse Conference (CLC) for the 2025 season, highlighted by one major award as freshman Jack Vandegrift (Jenkintown, Pa./LaSalle College Prep) was named CLC Rookie of the Year.
 
Junior Shane Phillips (Springfield, Pa./Springfield Delco) was selected for a CLC First Team spot and sophomore Gage Parker (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) was chosen for a CLC Second Team nod. Phillips, a 2024 CLC Second Team selection, received his second all-conference accolade while Vandegrift and Parker were recognized for the first time.
 
Vandegrift, Phillips and Parker have led Stockton to a 9-9 record plus a berth in the CLC Tournament semifinals in which the Ospreys will face Salisbury University, which is ranked second in the USILA national poll, tomorrow at 5:00 p.m.
 
Vandegrift became the third Osprey to be named a conference Rookie of the Year, joining Dante Poli (2019 CSAC) and Tyler Bollard (2016 Skyline). He leads the Ospreys in scoring with 29 goals and eight assists for 37 points in his rookie season. A team-high seven of his markers have been man-up scores and he has scooped 20 ground balls.
 
Vandegrift has started all 18 games and has scored at least one goal in 16 contests. He posted career highs with four goals against Arcadia on March 26 and five points (3 G, 2 A) against Kean on April 5
 
Parker has had a breakout sophomore season, with 28 goals and six assists for 34 points. He ranks second on the team behind Vandegrift in goals and points. Parker has played in all 18 games with 14 starts and has recorded nine multi-goal games this year. Parker had the best game of his career against Arcadia on March 26, with four goals and one assist for five points.
 
Phillips has been a stalwart defensively, leading the team with 21 caused turnovers in 17 games with 16 starts. The junior has scooped 34 ground balls, placing him third on the team, and added one goal with one assist. Phillips has at least one caused turnover in 10 matches, highlighted by a season-high four against Ithaca on March 15.
