Chester, Pa. – Stockton University team members competed for the final time before the NCAA Championships as seven Ospreys took part in a total of nine events at the Widener Final Qualifier, which featured a predominantly NCAA Division III field.
Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) finished fifth out of 22 in the long jump (6.98m) and fifth out of 13 in the triple jump (14.34m).
Carson Latham (Bordentown/Bordentown) ran times of 10.98 seconds in the 100m and 21.90 seconds in the 200m that each were less than two-tenths of a second off his season bests, placing 15th out of 50 in the 100m and 15th out of 36 in the 200m.
Dan Squicciarini (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) ran a personal best 9:44.41 in the 3000m steeplechase and
Joseph deBeaumont (Blackwood/Highland) produced a personal best 1:55.24 in the 800m.
Ben Laster (Delran/Delran) recorded the second-best distance of his career in the shot put (13.21m).
Fogg sits 10th on the NCAA performance list in the long jump and should be in position for a spot in the NCAA Championships, which are May 22-24 in Geneva, Ohio. Griffin is on the bubble at 23rd in the nation in the javelin.
