McKenna George (Centennial, Colo./Eaglecrest) were chosen to the Division III All-ECAC Team by the
Eastern College Athletic Conference. Tramp and George led the Ospreys to an 26-15 record this season.
The Eastern College Athletic Conference is an eighty-six-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes by sponsoring championships, tournaments and postseason honors for institutions throughout the Northeast.
This spring, Tramp amassed a lengthy list of honors highlighted by an NFCA All-America Third Team nod that made her Stockton's first-ever softball All-American. The senior also was NJAC Pitcher of the Year, NFCA Region IV First Team, NJAC First Team, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and NJAC Pitcher of the Week twice.
Tramp established herself as one of the top pitchers in nation, ranking in the top 30 in NCAA Division III in eight categories. The righty was third in WHIP (0.74), sixth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (9.19), 11th in hits allowed per seven innings (4.34), 14th in complete games (20), 16th in ERA (1.23), 17th in shutouts (7) and walks allowed per seven innings (0.82), and 29th in strikeouts (147).
Tramp led the NJAC in strikeouts and opposing batting average (.174), tied for the conference lead in innings pitched (137) and ranked third in ERA and fourth in wins (14). Her seven shutouts equaled the second-highest season total in program history while her 14 wins tied for fourth and her 147 strikeouts were fifth.
Tramp ended her outstanding career second all-time at Stockton in strikeouts (454), wins (46) and ERA (1.53) plus third in innings pitched (442.1), tied for third in shutouts (16) and sixth in appearances (81).
George contributed right away upon joining the team, producing a fantastic freshman season for which she was selected NJAC Co-Rookie of the Year, NFCA All-Region IV Third Team, NJAC Second Team and two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week.
George started all 37 games that she played for the Ospreys. The centerfielder finished third in the conference in stolen bases (25), tied for third in triples (5), seventh in slugging percentage (.575) and tied for ninth in runs (32).
George led Stockton in runs, triples and stolen bases and finished second on the team in slugging percentage and RBI (28). She batted .342 with 41 hits including nine doubles and three home runs. George also tied for the team lead with 13 multi-hit games.
