2025 Stockton Softball Season Recap

Overview
Stockton Softball produced a 26-15 overall record in 2025, tying the team's second highest win total in 10 years under head coach Mavreen Hering. Stockton earned the No. 4 seed for the NJAC Tournament with a 12-6 conference record. The Osprey lineup was experienced, with seven seniors and five juniors.
 
Ten Ospreys played in at least 36 of the team's 41 games, including seven who started at least 37 times. Three pitchers made 15 or more appearances on the mound as well. The squad set new team records with 72 doubles and 26 home runs, which topped the NJAC in round trippers.
 
Stockton pitchers led the conference in strikeouts (254) and finished second in ERA (1.65), shutouts (12) and opposing batting average (.208). In addition to leading the NJAC in homers, the Ospreys were second in batting (.321), runs (256), hits (360), doubles (72) and stolen bases (85) plus third in fielding percentage (.965).

Highlights
  • Pitcher Nerina Tramp became the first player in Stockton history to be named All-American and just the second with three all-region honors (Angela Fiorentino 1997-99). The senior also became the first Osprey ever with two First Team all-region laurels and the first two-time NJAC Pitcher of the Year in program history.  
  • Tramp proved herself as one of the top pitchers in nation, ranking in the top 30 in NCAA Division III in eight categories. The righty was third in WHIP (0.74), sixth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (9.19), 11th in hits allowed per seven innings (4.34), 14th in complete games (20), 16th in ERA (1.23), 17th in shutouts (7) and walks allowed per seven innings (0.82), and 29th in strikeouts (147).
  • Tramp led the NJAC in strikeouts (147) and innings pitched (137) and ranked second in opposing batting average (.174) plus third in ERA (1.23) and tied for third in wins (14). She finished her outstanding career second in Stockton history in strikeouts (454), wins (46) and ERA (1.53), third in innings pitched (442.1), tied for third in shutouts (16) and sixth in appearances (81).
  • Emma Coldsnow produced an excellent first season at Stockton as a transfer from Salisbury University. The junior led the NJAC in home runs (8), slugging percentage (.649), hit by pitch (18) and OPS (1.152) while also ranking fourth in the conference in on-base percentage (.503) and tied for seventh in RBI (32).
  • Coldsnow led the Ospreys in batting (.377), slugging percentage, on-base percentage, OPS, homers, RBI and hit by pitch. During the season she strung together a team-best reached base streak of 19 games and tied the second-highest home run total in program history.
  • McKenna George burst onto the scene with a terrific freshman season, for which she was voted NJAC Co-Rookie of the Year and NJAC Second Team. The centerfielder was third in the conference in stolen bases (25), tied for third in triples (5), tied for seventh in runs (32) and eighth in slugging percentage (.575).
  • George led Stockton in runs, triples and stolen bases and finished second behind Coldsnow in slugging percentage and RBI (28). She batted .342 with 41 hits including nine doubles and three home runs. George also tied for the team lead with 13 multi-hit games.
  • Caitlin Cetrulo had another excellent season, starting all 38 games that she played. The junior smashed six home runs, tying for second in the NJAC and tied for fifth in a single season at Stockton while batting .349, second on the team, with 27 runs, 25 RBI and 11 stolen bases.
  • Emily Spencer topped the team with 44 hits and batted .326 while playing in all 41 games and starting 40. Spencer finished second on the team in doubles (14) and added three homers, 27 runs, 21 RBI and 12 walks.
  • Alexa Panagopoylos batted .317 with 13 doubles and 27 RBI while starting all 41 games. Defensively, the first baseman made just three errors in 216 chances (.986) and tied for sixth in the NJAC with 202 putouts.
  • Charli Czaczkowski batted .279, tied the school record for doubles with 15 and led the team with 14 walks. One of three players to start all 41 games, Czaczkowski blasted three homers and had 20 RBI. She ended her outstanding career third in Stockton history in hits (155) and doubles (40), fifth in RBI (87) and sixth in runs (90).
  • Regan Mendick and Megan Sears batted .321 and .304, respectively, while combining for two homers and 28 RBI. Sears added 28 hits, 22 runs and was a perfect 7-7 in stolen bases in 40 games played.
  • Madison Manera did not make an error in 198 chances behind the plate, and her 198 chances tied for the most among the six NJAC players who tied for the league lead with a 1.000 fielding percentage. Manera played in 31 games with 30 starts and led the team with five sacrifice bunts.
  • Mia Barone won seven games for the second straight year against just one loss. Barone fashioned a superb 1.31 ERA that was fourth in the NJAC and 20th in NCAA Division III. The senior tossed 48 innings and struck out 26 batters while also tossing one complete game.
  • Lexi Liquori won four games and struck out 54 hitters in 48.1 innings of work in the circle. The sophomore pitched her first career complete game against Neumann on March 14.
  • Freshman Casey Sokol showed her versatility by batting .340 with nine RBI and seven runs in 31 games while also recording 26 strikeouts and a 2.33 ERA in 21 innings pitched.
  • Maggie Formichelli (26 games, 11 runs), Brianna Segnello (36 games, .344 average in 32 at-bats), Aubrey Jeffers (32 games, .400 average in 20 at-bats), Elizabeth Martin (.333 average in 21 at-bats) and pinch runners Evangelina Kim (15 runs, 5 stolen bases) and Sienna Smith (13 runs, 7 stolen bases) also contributed to the team's success.
