Kutztown, Pa. – Stockton University finished sixth in the Kutztown University DII/III Challenge on Saturday morning. The Ospreys were one of just three NCAA Division III teams in the field of nine, joining DeSales University, which placed fifth, and Alvernia, which was ninth.
 
In his first race as an Osprey, sophomore transfer Conor Clifford (Monmouth Beach/Christian Brothers Academy) led Stockton by finishing 11th out of 100 runners with a time of 26:55.80 for eight kilometers.
 
Josh Corsentino (Brick/Brick Memorial) made it two Ospreys in the top 20 by placing 20th with a time of 27:26.70.
 
Shane McDevitt (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) crossed the finish line at 28:17.20 for 40th place.
 
Freshman Zach Hutchinson (Ocean City/Ocean City) was the first of two straight Ospreys across the line as he finished at 28:30.50 for 46th place.
 
Joey Addeo (Woolwich/GCIT) followed just under one second later at 28:31.40 for 47th place and five Ospreys in the top half of the field.
 
Stockton will host the Osprey Open next Saturday, September 20 at 10:30 a.m.
