Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University hosted its first meet of the season and finished fifth out of 16 scoring teams in the Osprey Open. Stockton's five scoring runners all finished in the top 44 spots in the field of 162 competitors.
Conor Clifford (Monmouth Beach/Christian Brothers Academy) led the Ospreys for the second straight week, finishing 14th overall with a time of 25:46.35 for eight kilometers.
Josh Corsentino (Brick/Brick Memorial) was the second Stockton runner in the top 20 as he placed 18th with a time of 26:19.95.
Joey Addeo (Woolwich/GCIT) was the first of two straight Osprey finishers as he ran 27:20.70 for 33rd place.
Freshman
Zach Hutchinson (Ocean City/Ocean City) followed four seconds later at 27:24.69 for 34th place.
Dan Mine (Toms River/TR North) completed Stockton's top five in 44th place with a time of 27:53.02.
Stockton will have a couple of weeks off before racing in the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on October 3.
