2025 Stockton Women’s Soccer Recap

Overview
Stockton Women's Soccer won seven games and earned an NJAC Tournament berth under first-year head coach Courtney Dougherty in 2025. Dougherty coached on an interim basis during the season and recently was named the program's permanent head coach.
 
The Ospreys equaled the school record for ties in a season with seven and posted a 7-6-7 mark, finishing with a winning record for the 33rd time in the program's 37 years.
 
Stockton had 16 players see action in 15 or more games, with three playing in all 20 contests, including two who started every game. Just four of the 16 Ospreys who appeared in at least 15 matches were seniors. The campaign featured unbeaten streaks of six and five games as well as five shutout victories.

Highlights
  • Senior Logan Shaw led the team in scoring with seven goals and one assist for 15 points despite missing five games. Shaw tied for eighth in the conference in goals and finished 10th in points on the way to her second straight NJAC Second Team honor. The forward scored six goals in a six-game span during the season.
  • Junior transfer Makayla Jaffe made a big impact in her first season at Stockton, scoring six goals with two assists for 14 points while starting all 18 games in which she appeared. Jaffe finished the year strong, recording points in five of her last eight games.
  • The defensive play of Bella Bednarz, Carissa Goodwin, Erin Lally, Amelia Shappell and Riley Schoka helped Stockton to a 1.35 goals against average and five shutouts. Schoka joined Kylee Reissek and freshman midfielder Lyla Heath as the only Ospreys to play in all 20 games, with Schoka and Reissek starting every contest.
  • Bednarz started all 19 games that she played and contributed two goals at the offensive end. Shappell made 19 starts as well. Lally started 12 of the 13 games that she played but missed a month due to injury. Ava Moyer and Kyla Gillen also chipped in defensively, playing in 19 and 15 games respectively with six starts apiece.
  • Reissek and Megan Morris potted three goals each, with Morris tying freshman Jadelyn Sayrafe for the team high with four assists. Morris finished third on the team with 10 points and Reissek tallied seven points. Sayrafe scored her first career goal on September 10 and finished with six points.
  • Katie Ambos tallied two goals and three assists for seven points in 15 games while transfer Madison Bjorndahl appeared in 18 matches and tallied a goal and two assists for four points in her first season at Stockton.
  • Morgan Keil ended her career on a strong note, posting a 1.49 goals against average plus 75 saves and three shutouts while playing 1,511 of Stockton's 1,800 minutes. Keil finished her fine career with 262 saves and 20 shutouts, both ranking sixth in program history.
