Results
Staten Island, N.Y. – Stockton University competed for the first time in over a month as the Ospreys participated in the Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze. One event win and one runner-up finish highlighted Stockton's day.
Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) won the long jump out of 30 competitors with a distance of 7.33 meters that was his best ever at an indoor meet. Fogg also tied for ninth out of 23 in the high jump (1.89m).
Freshman
Jacob Bittle (Sicklerville/Paul VI) finished second out of 39 sprinters in the 60m (7.23 seconds). Two Ospreys performed well in the pole vault as
Brayden Cisney (Shade Gap, Pa./Southern Huntingdon) placed third out of 14 (4.10m) while
Andres Perez (Toms River/TR North) was fifth (3.95m). Cisney and Perez both tied their personal bests.
Freshman
Kyle Greenleaf (Barnegat/Barnegat) finished eighth out of 48 runners in the 400m (50.69 seconds) and fellow rookie
Bryant Nelson (Millville/Millville) was eighth out of 21 in the triple jump (13.22m).
Landon Jenter (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) placed 10th out of 25 in the 800m (2:00.56).
Greenleaf, Jenter and freshmen
James Adams (South Plainfield/South Plainfield) and
Shane Daley (Galloway/Absegami) finished sixth out of 12 teams in the 4x400 relay (3:31.77).
In the shot put,
Ben Laster (Delran/Delran) placed 13th out of 33 throwers (12.53m) followed by
Joe Franzello (Cape May/Lower Cape May) in 14th place (12.48m).
Patrick Storti (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) finished 18th out of 43 in the mile (4:29.55) and
Conor Clifford (Monmouth Beach/CBA) was 19th out of 50 in the 3000m (8:57.04).
Next weekend, Stockton will compete in the Liberty University (Va.) Open and the Moravian Hounds Indoor Classic.
