Galloway, N.J. – The Stockton University baseball team qualified for an ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award from the
American Baseball Coaches Association for the 2025-26 academic year.
The Ospreys excelled in the classroom, recording a 3.44 team grade point average and earning the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for the seventh consecutive year under the direction of head coach
Rich Gawlak.
The academic awards go to programs coached by ABCA members that posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above for the academic year. Stockton was one of 196 out of 389 NCAA Division III teams that qualified for the award this year.
On the field, Stockton won 12 games during the 2026 season, featuring a young roster that included a combined 22 freshmen and sophomores. The Ospreys collected seven wins in conference play and tied for sixth in the standings, narrowly missing out on an NJAC Tournament berth due to a tiebreaker.
