(Galloway, NJ) – Richard Stockton (7-2-1, 2-1 NJAC) scored the only goal of the match early in the second half and held off Rowan (5-2, 2-1 NJAC) 1-0 for its second straight victory.  Jacque Becker (Hamilton/Steinert) netted the game-winning goal for the Ospreys and Stockton goalkeeper Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill/Paul VI) needed just one save to post her second solo shutout of the season.

The Ospreys outshot Rowan 16-2 in the contest.  Stockton held a 4-1 advantage in the first half but the game was scoreless at intermission.  The Ospreys increased the offensive pressure in the second half and their efforts paid off 12:37 into the period.  Briana Fischer (Brick/Brick) served the ball into the penalty area where it bounced around until Becker headed it home for her team-leading eighth goal of the season.

Stockton outshot the Profs 12 in the second half and nearly got an insurance goal from Becker on a high volley shot but her attempt was knocked off the crossbar by Rowan goalkeeper Maria Dorris.  Dorris finished with eight saves in the game but Becker's lone goal proved to be the difference as Stockton improved to 4-1-1 in its last five matches with the 1-0 victory.

Stockton will head to Marywod (PA) on Saturday for a non-conference game that kicks off at 1 pm.
