Brittany Ksiezopolski (Hillsborough/Hillsborough) turned in the performance of the day with a four-hitter and a career-high 12 strikeouts in the win over Curry.
Offensively,
Rachel Forte (Vineland/Vineland) went 2-3 with a run and an RBI while
Nicole Scanlon (Colonia/Colonia) was 2-4 with an RBI in the first game.
Jessica Goncalves (Union/Union) contributed one hit, three stolen bases and two runs scored. Stockton capitalized on four Curry errors to score four unearned runs.
Forte notched an RBI single and also scored an unearned run as the Ospreys jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning. In the third stanza, Goncalves manufactured a run as she was hit by a pitch, stole second, moved to third on a wild pitch and stole home on a double steal.
Dominique Dorris (Mantua/Clearview) added an RBI on a sacrifice fly for a 5-0 margin. Goncalves singled, stole second and scored on an RBI single by Scanlon in the fifth frame, and Stockton coasted to the 6-1 win.
Nicole Chabak (Marlton/Cherokee) and
Justine Reed (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) each went 2-3 with a run scored against Pitt-Bradford, and Reed also tallied an RBI.
Michelle Pietrocola (North Brunswick/North Brunswick) allowed one run on five hits with seven strikeouts in five innings pitched to improve to 5-0 on the season.
Reed and Goncalves got the Ospreys started with RBI singles in the second inning and
Nicole Tomo (Cedar Grove/Cedar Grove) followed with a two-run double for an early 4-0 advantage. Pitt-Bradford responded with one run in the third before Stockton put the game away with two tallies in the fourth frame.
Gianna Cuffari (Cedar Grove/Cedar Grove) got hit by a pitch and scored an unearned run shortly after. Dorris tacked on an RBI single to set the 6-1 final score in Stockton's eighth win in a row.
Stockton will conclude its 10-game stint in Florida tomorrow when the Ospreys face NYU-Poly at 9 am and Franklin & Marshall at 11 am.
