(Galloway, NJ) – Richard Stockton (5-8, 1-3 Skyline) gave up the first goal of the game and then scored 22 unanswered tallies as they overwhelmed Bryn Athyn (1-9) 22-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner/North Hunterdon) scored six goals and dished six assists in the blowout.
After falling behind 1-0, Stockton exploded for four goals in the first period. Bologno tallied twice along with single scores from
Vincent Manasia (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) and
James O'Donnell (Mount Laurel/Lenape). Manasia added four more goals in the second period, while teammates
Tom Walsh (Rockaway/Morris Hills),
Guy Loggi (Somers Point/Mainland) and Bologno all added counters to make it 11-1 at the break.
Bologno hit the net three more times in the third period and got help from
Alex Epifano (Marlton/Cherokee),
Joseph Petrilli (Egg Harbor City/Absegami), who tallied twice,
Connor DeCicco (Catonsville, MD/Mount St. Joseph) and
Shane Moyer (North Wales, PA/Archbishop Wood) for an insurmountable 19-1 lead.
Drew Wright (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven), Petrilli and Loggi set the final score with goals in the fourth stanza.
In addition to Bologno's six tallies, Manasia added five goals, Petrilli chipped in with three markers and Loggi with two scores.
Eugene Isola (Monroe Twp./CBA) dished two assists. Isola and Moyer won 23 of 27 faceoffs for the game.
Travis Witty (Montville/Montville) picked up the win playing the final 45 minutes.
Anthony Montalbano (Matawan/Old Bridge) started and played one period. Witty and Montalbano made two saves each.
Terrence Johnson scored the only goal for Bryn Athyn. Robert Moran and Nelson Lopez made 11 saves, with Lopez suffering the loss.
Stockton will travel to face Maritime in a Skyline Conference match up on Wednesday at 7 pm.
