(Galloway, NJ) – Richard Stockton (8-3, 2-1 NJAC) got back on the winning track as they downed William Paterson (3-5-2, 1-2 NJAC) by a 2-0 shutout on Saturday afternoon. The win was the Ospreys' eighth in their last nine contests.

The Ospreys scored a goal in each half with
Jacque Becker (Hamilton/Steinert) picking up the first tally. Becker's first goal of the season came from 10 yards out and put Stockton ahead 1-0 with 11:20 gone in the game.
Jessica Balnis (Dorothy/Buena) forwarded the ball to Becker who made the shot count and the lead lasted through the half.

Just 34 seconds into the second stanza,
Brooke Southard (Clayton/OLMA) scored her second goal of the year to put Stockton up 2-0. Freshman
Taylor Nichols (Barrington/Haddon Heights) earned her first career point with the assist. Nichols knocked the ball forward to Southard who took a touch to get around the goalie and deposited the ball inside the left post.

Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill/Paul VI) made the lead stand up and got help with a defensive save by
Lauren McCutcheon (Haddon Twp./Haddon Twp.) in front of an empty net that helped preserve the shutout.

Hinkle made three saves for her fifth shutout of the season. Pioneers' net minder Alyssa Falduto kicked out five Osprey shots in the defeat.

Stockton will travel to Rowan University for an NJAC match on Wednesday for a 5 pm start.
