Boxscore(Union, NJ) – Richard Stockton (0-2) suffered its second consecutive 1-0 defeat at the season-opening Kean Cougar Classic, this time to fifth-ranked Ithaca College (2-0) despite a game effort from the Ospreys. Goalkeeper
Lauren Haynes (Williamstown/Williamstown) gave Stockton a chance with a career-high 11 saves against the highly-touted Bombers' squad but the Ospreys were held scoreless for the second straight day.

Stockton struggled to keep pace with Ithaca in the first half as the Ospreys were outshot 12-0 and yielded six corner kicks. Haynes made nine saves in the first stanza to send the teams to the break in a 0-0 tie. Stockton improved greatly in the second half, outshooting the Bombers 6-5, but Kelsey King broke the scoreless deadlock by scoring the only goal of the match at 60:47 to deal the Ospreys the 1-0 defeat.
Chelsea James (Howell/Howell) led Stockton with two shots.

Stockton will play its home opener on Wednesday, September 3 when the Ospreys host Salisbury at 6 pm.
