BoxscorePatchogue, NJ – Richard Stockton (2-4) blanked St. Joseph's-Long Island (0-3-1) 3-0 in a road game for its second consecutive win by shutout.
Laina Matus (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) led the Ospreys to victory with two goals and
Lexi Stasi (Cranbury/Princeton) added one marker. Stockton controlled the match with a 25-5 advantage in shots and Ospreys' goalkeeper
Lauren Haynes (Williamstown/Williamstown) earned her first shutout in a Stockton uniform with three saves.Â

Matus scored her first goal of the season with an assist by
Chelsea James (Howell/Howell) at the 22:43 mark of the first half. The Ospreys outshot St. Joseph's-LI 11-2 in the period, with 10 shots on goal, and led 1-0 at the break. Matus paced Stockton with four first-half shots.

Stockton continued to pressure the Golden Eagles in the second half and Matus added her second marker of the night 11:34 into the stanza to double the advantage to 2-0. Five minutes later, Stasi made it 3-0 with her second goal of the season and
Adrianna Boucher (Hamilton/Steinert) assisted on the play. Haynes made two stops in the half to preserve the shutout as Stockton cruised to the 3-0 victory.

Stockton will hit the road again on Saturday for a non-league game at Drew University at 1 pm.
