Boxscore

Madison, NJ – Richard Stockton (3-4) posted their third straight win and shutout by defeating Drew University (2-3) 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. Lexi Stasi (Cranbury/Princeton) scored the only marker of the game 3:59 into the second half for the eventual game winner.

Stockton dominated the play during the first 45 minutes but could not break into the scoring column. The Ospreys outshout Drew 12-3, including seven shots on net, but to no avail. The drought ended when Stasi blasted a shot off the goalkeeper's hands into the top right corner for the only score of the game. Samantha Rodrigues (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) sent a cross for the assist on Stasi's third goal of the season.

The Osprey defense then shut the door as they allowed no shots in the second half and only three on the afternoon in front of goalie Lauren Haynes (Williamstown/Williamstown). Haynes extended her scoreless streak to 294 minutes over the last four contests, with the team in a 305-minute shutout streak.

Haynes made two stops in the game, both in the first half, earning her third straight win. Sara Nash started in net for Drew, playing 72:24 and made seven stops in the loss. Ryan Jackson finished up playing the final 17:36 with two saves to her credit.

Stockton will finish their five-game road trip when they will face Centenary College in Hackettstown on Wednesday afternoon. Game time is scheduled for 4 pm.
