BoxscoreGlassboro, NJ – Stockton University (12-6, 2-5 NJAC) fell to #6 Rowan (25-0, 7-0), which is undefeated this season, 6-0 in the first game of a doubleheader. The second game was rained out and will be rescheduled for a later date. The Ospreys managed three hits in the game, a double by
Marisa Ortiz (Manchester/Manchester Twp.) and singles by freshmen
Alexa Massa (Moorestown/Moorestown) and
Hannah Bibeault (Hopatcong/Hopatcong).

The Ospreys had a chance to get on the board after a one-out double by Ortiz in the top of the first, but they could not bring her home. Rowan took the lead with two runs in the bottom half, one unearned, and the score remained 2-0 as Stockton hung tough until the fifth frame when the Profs added one run for a 3-0 count.

Bibeault, who came in to pitch in relief in the bottom of the fifth, led off the top of the sixth with her first career hit but later was erased on an inning-ending double play. Rowan then clinched the outcome with three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Massa singled with two out in the seventh inning but the game ended on a foul out one batter later as Stockton fell 6-0.

Game two of the twinbill was halted in the fourth inning due to rain and must be started over at a later date. Stockton's next two games will be on Thursday when the Ospreys travel to FDU-Florham for a non-conference doubleheader starting at 3 pm.
