Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals results
Staten Island, N.Y. – Stockton University began the 2024-25 indoor track & field season on Friday with the team competing in the Fastrack Season Opener at Ocean Breeze while one Osprey set a school record at the Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals.
Sophomore transfer
Elaina Styer (Estell Manor/Ocean City) made an outstanding Stockton debut by setting a school record in the pentathlon (3,383 pts.) in her first meet as an Osprey. Styer, who competed for Cornell University last year, topped the mark of 3,369 by Lisa Chatman in 2006 and finished second out of eight competitors with a total that should qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Isabella Freda (Verona/Verona) was Stockton's top finisher at the Fastrack meet as she was the runner-up out of 26 in the weight throw (15.79). Junior transfer
Eva Morrison (Northfield/Mainland) made a strong Stockton debut with third place out of 11 in the pole vault (3.30m).
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford),
Emma Conroy (Matawan/Matawan),
Kayla Sullivan (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) and freshman
Hannah Ross (Egg Harbor City/Absegami) finished third out of 13 teams in the 4x400 relay (4:03.50). Petrolia also placed seventh out of 32 in the long jump (5.15m) and Sullivan was eighth out of 33 in the 400m (1:02.21).
Freshman
Sydney Ricks (Pennington/Hopewell Valley) finished fifth out of 11 in the pole vault and
Jessica Bentley (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) was sixth out of 31 in the shot put (10.52m).
Stockton won't compete again for nearly a month. The next meet is the Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze on January 17.
