Galloway, N.J. – A pair of Stockton University student-athletes were selected for NJAC weekly honors for the week of October 27-November 2.
Kate Louer (Clifton/Clifton) was selected NJAC Player of the Week in volleyball while
Nico Calambas (Galloway/Absegami) was chosen NJAC Defensive Player of the Week for men's soccer.
Louer produced an outstanding week, leading the Ospreys with 38 kills and eight aces in three matches. The senior also registered a superb .435 hitting percentage and scooped 22 digs, second on the team in both categories. Louer spiked at least 12 kills in each of Stockton's three victories as the Ospreys extended their winning streak to 12 straight matches.
Calambas scored his second goal of the season on a header from a corner kick to pull Stockton into a 1-1 tie in the regular season finale against Kean. The junior has been solid on the backline this season, helping the Ospreys to the No. 2 seed in the NJAC Tournament.
Stockton Men's Soccer will host 24th-ranked Rowan University in the semifinal round of the NJAC Tournament at G. Larry James Stadium on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
Stockton Volleyball will finish the regular season with three straight home matches this week. The Ospreys will end the NJAC slate tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. against Ramapo before facing Salisbury on Friday and NYU on Saturday, all at the Stockton Sports Center.
