Galloway, N.J. – Three Stockton University field hockey players received all-region honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional) and Kirsten Bailey (Burlington/Burlington Twp.) were voted NFHCA All-Region IV First Team. Maura Somers (Berlin/Eastern Regional) was chosen NFHCA All-Region IV Second Team.

Thompson (2023-25 First Team) and Bailey (2023-24 Second Team, 2025 First Team) collected all region honors from the NFHCA for the third straight year. Somers earned her first all-region accolade in her initial season at Stockton after transferring from Fairfield University. The trio led the Ospreys to an 11-9 record and third place in the NJAC this fall.

Thompson became Stockton's first NJAC Midfielder of the Year and also received NJAC First Team and NFHCA Senior Team honors. She was named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week on September 2. Thompson led the Ospreys in goals (12), points (32) and game-winning goals (4), and she also tied Bailey for the team lead in assists (8).

Thompson's 32 points were the fourth highest season total in program history. The fifth-year player finished second in the NJAC in game-winning goals and tied for second in assists plus fourth in goals and points.

Despite playing just three seasons at Stockton after transferring from Montclair State, Thompson set a school record with 27 career assists and finished her career third in school history in points (75) as well as tied for sixth in goals (24).

Bailey compiled NJAC First Team and NFHCA Senior Team recognition plus the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week award on September 22. The midfielder topped the Ospreys with five defensive saves, tied Thompson for the team lead in assists (8) and finished second on the squad in goals (9) and points (26). Bailey's five defensive saves equaled the fourth highest season total ever at Stockton.

Bailey tied for second in the NJAC in assists and tied for fourth in defensive saves along with finishing sixth in points and tied for eighth in goals. She ended her stellar four-year career at Stockton with rankings of second in program history in goals (40) and points (94), third in defensive saves (10) and eighth in assists (14).

Somers made a big impact in her first season at Stockton, joining Thompson and Bailey to comprise a formidable midfield trio. The junior was selected NJAC First Team after tallying two goals and four assists for eight points. Somers tied for third on the team in assists and contributed in ways that went beyond the scoresheet with her strong stickhandling and ball skills.
