Galloway, N.J. – Sixteen of the 26 players on the Stockton University field hockey team qualified for the NFHCA Division III
National Academic Squad by attaining cumulative grade point averages of 3.50 or higher through the Fall 2024 semester. In addition, six of those Ospreys earned NFHCA
Scholar of Distinction recognition with GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
Senior
Dakota Ludman (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) led the way as she earned a spot on the National Academic Squad for the fourth consecutive year. Juniors

Makayla Alessi (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) qualified for the third time.

Ava Smock (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) became National Academic Squad for the second time.

Meghan Bird (Aurora, CO/Cherokee Trail),
Paige Freas (Mickleton/GCIT) and
Brielle Romano (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) earned a place on the National Academic Squad for their first time.
Rafferty collected an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction award for the second straight year. Catalano, Drey, Freas, Romano and Roura qualified as Scholars of Distinction for the first time.
The Stockton field hockey team won 10 games during the 2024 season (10-9 record), reaching double figures for the second straight year and fifth time in the last eight full seasons. The Ospreys also reached the NJAC Tournament for the second consecutive year by finishing fourth in the league with a 3-3 record.
Sixteen Ospreys saw action in 12 games or more, with 12 playing all 19 contests. Six of that dozen started all 19 games. As a team, Stockton finished second in the NJAC in save percentage (.766) and third in scoring (2.37 goals per game).
