Ewing, N.J. – Stockton University finished third out of nine teams in the NJAC Championships, which were held at The College of New Jersey on Saturday and Sunday. The Ospreys scored 87 points, easily outpacing fourth-place Montclair (49) and trailing Rowan (313) and TCNJ (228).
Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) led Stockton by winning the long jump in a field of 20 competitors with a distance (7.34m) that moved him into a tie for eighth on the NCAA Division III performance list. Fogg also finished third out of 13 in the triple jump with a distance (14.54m) that ranks 20th on the NCAA list.
Chris Griffin (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) placed second out of 18 in the javelin with a personal best that put him 22nd in the nation (61.28m).
Dan Squicciarini (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) was the runner-up out of eight in the 3000m steeplechase (9:57.16). Squicciarini also finished sixth out of 21 runners in the 5000m with a personal best (15:28.14).
Carson Latham (Bordentown/Bordentown),
Cruz Lewis (Egg Harbor Twp./Atlantic Christian),
Anthony McCullough (Hi-Nella/Sterling) and
Devante Greene (Pennsauken/Pennsauken) finished third in the 4x100 relay with a time that was a season best four an Osprey quartet (42.13 seconds).
Josh Corsentino (Brick/Brick Memorial) placed fourth out of 12 in the 10,000m (33:54.74),
Joseph deBeaumont (Blackwood/Highland) finished sixth out of 28 in the 800m (1:56.20) and
Mike Carfagno (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) was sixth out of 23 in the shot put (13.50m).
Some Osprey team members will compete in the Ramapo Last Chance Twilight on May 9 at 5:00 p.m.
