5/11/2026 12:35:00 PM

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University added to its season of firsts by earning the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth in softball. The NCAA bid is yet another milestone for a team that entered the national rankings for the first time and won its first NJAC regular season title this season.

Stockton will play in a four-team pod at 12th-ranked Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Mass.). In their first game, the Ospreys will face UMass Dartmouth on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The regional, which also includes host WPI and Albertus Magnus (Conn.), follows a double-elimination format and continues through Saturday.

Tickets for all of the games at WPI will only be sold online and can be purchased here.

Stockton qualified for an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament with a #17 ranking in the NCAA Power Index on the strength of a 30-7 record that marks the team's highest win total since 2016 (32 wins). The Ospreys began the 2026 campaign with 10 straight victories on the way to a 17-1 record in the first half of the season.

Stockton won the NJAC regular season title for the first time with a 16-2 league record and entered the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll for the first time in school history as well. The Ospreys are currently ranked 18th in NFCA national poll.
