Stockton Softball Team Earns NFCA Academic Honors

Galloway, N.J. – The Stockton University softball squad qualified for team and individual academic honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for the 2025-26 academic year. The Ospreys tied for 35th in NCAA Division III with a stellar 3.64 grade point average.
 
Fourteen of the 23 members of the Stockton team qualified for NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honors. The awards are given to any player who achieved a minimum 3.50 grade point average during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
Stockton produced a historic 2026 season, winning the NJAC regular season title, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament, and entering the NFCA national rankings all for the first time ever. The Ospreys won 30 games for the third time in the program's history and finished with a 30-9 record.
 
Stockton set new team records for batting average (.344) and stolen bases (94). The Ospreys led the NJAC in batting, slugging percentage (.462), runs per game (6.38), hit by pitch (31) and fielding percentage (.975). Stockton was also second in the league in home runs (16) and RBI (220).

Seniors Cetrulo, Formichelli and Manera plus junior Panagopoylos all earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the third consecutive year. Coldsnow, a senior, qualified in both of her seasons at Stockton.
 
Sophomores Cavanaugh, George, Kim, Martin, Smith and Sokol notched NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete for the second straight year. Freshmen Clauss, Jennings and Stallwood all secured the academic laurels in their first year of college.
