Galloway, N.J. – Two members of the Stockton University women's outdoor track & field team received NJAC awards and nine Ospreys earned NJAC all-conference honors for the 2026 outdoor season. The all-conference teams are based on finishes in each event at the NJAC Championships.
Elaina Styer (Estell Manor/Ocean City) was voted NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete and freshman
Joie Buxton (Galloway/Absegami) was chosen NJAC Rookie of the Year.
Styer, Buxton and
Eva Morrison (Northfield/Mainland) qualified for NJAC First Team accolades. NJAC Second Team nods went to Styer,
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne),
Megan Morris (Pennsville/Pennsville) and
Evelynn Austin (Sparta/Pope John XXIII).
Kass and
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) earned two NJAC Honorable Mention spots apiece.
Emma Conroy (Matawan/Matawan) and
Jessica Bruther (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) recorded NJAC Honorable Mention finishes as well.
Styer, a two-time NJAC Field Athlete of the Week this season, received her second career NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete award (2025 indoor, 2026 outdoor) to go along with one NJAC Most Outstanding Athlete award (2026 indoor). The junior qualified for three all-conference honors.
Styer won the high jump at the NJAC Championships at a height of 1.67 meters that is tied for 14th in the nation for NJAC First Team recognition. The junior finished second in the long jump (5.40m) and 100m hurdles (14.29 seconds) for two of NJAC Second Team spots. Styer broke her own school record in the hurdles by running 14.22 seconds in the prelims.
Buxton, a two-time NJAC Field Athlete of the Week and two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week, became Stockton's third NJAC Rookie of the Year in women's outdoor track & field (Kass 2023, Kaitlyn Dermen 2015). The freshman won the javelin at the NJAC Championships with a throw of 44.25 meters that moved her into third in NCAA Division III.
Morrison won the pole vault at the NJAC Championships by clearing 3.45 meters for her fourth consecutive NJAC title overall (2025-26 indoor, 2025-26 outdoor). The senior also won the Mountain East Conference title while competing for Frostburg State during the 2024 outdoor season.
Morris, a freshman, finished second behind Morrison in the pole vault at 3.30 meters to collect an NJAC Second Team honor. Austin placed second in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:59.51 for her NJAC Second Team nod.
Kass compiled a haul of three all-conference awards at the NJAC Championships. The senior placed second in the 800m (2:13.74) for an NJAC Second Team accolade. Kass also finished third in the 400m (58.06 seconds) after breaking the school record with a time of 57.00 seconds in the prelims.
Kass added another NJAC Honorable Mention laurel by joining Petrolia, Conroy and Bruther for third place in the 4x400 relay (3:58.98). Petrolia finished third in the in the 400m hurdles (1:02.85), ending the meet with two NJAC Honorable Mention decorations.
Stockton finished third out of nine teams in the NJAC Championships at Ramapo College on May 2-3 with a score of 133. The Ospreys finished in the top three at the conference outdoor championships for the 11th straight year.
