(Galloway, NJ) – Richard Stockton (18-7) won their fifth game in the last six with a 9-0 (5 innings) win over Baruch College (7-9) in a non-conference affair on Thursday afternoon. Game two was postponed due to weather concerns. Brittany Ksiezopolski (Hillsborough/Hillsborough) tossed a five-hit shutout for her ninth win of the season.

After a scoreless first inning, Stockton started the scoring barrage in their half of the second as Dominique Dorris (Mantua/Clearview) doubled and advanced to third on a Grace Long (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) single.  Nichole Terreri (Deptford/Deptford) plated Dorris with a sacrifice fly and Stephanie Hand (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) scored Long with a base hit for a 2-0 lead.

The Ospreys tacked on two more runs in the next frame as Rachel Forte (Vineland/Vineland) and Nicole Scanlon (Colonia/Colonia) singled before an error and a sacrifice fly by Long made it 4-0 after three innings.

The Ospreys put the game away with five counters in the bottom of the fourth inning. Terreri and Danielle Kohen (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) doubled before Jessica Goncalves (Union/Union) singled for an RBI. Scanlon ripped a triple that scored Goncalves. Dorris singled in another run before Long hit a triple that plated the final run in the 9-0 victory.

Ksiezopolski (9-3) scattered five hits, striking out five without a walk for the complete game shutout, her fifth whitewashing of the year.  Scanlon, Dorris and Long all had two hits on the afternoon with Long plating two RBI. Nicole Flint (4-5) took the loss for Baruch. Teammate Megan Ruiz rapped two of the five Bearcats hits.

Stockton's next opponent will be NJAC foe William Paterson for a doubleheader on Saturday. The first game is scheduled for 1 pm. Baruch will turn around for a twinbill against York tomorrow at 3:30 pm.
