(Reading, PA) – Richard Stockton (3-1) shut out Albright (1-3) 4-0 in a non-conference road game for their third consecutive win. The victory was highlighted by a couple of firsts as junior
Rileigh Ruff (Delran/Delran) scored her first career goal and added an assist while freshman
Alicia Belko (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) notched her first college goal.
Â
The game was scoreless through the midway point of the first half before
Susie Balidemaj (Hamilton/Steinert) netted the only goal that Stockton would need at 21:15. Balidemaj's team-leading fifth marker of the season was assisted by
Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic). With 4:02 remaining in the first half, Ruff scored her first career goal in her 32nd game in a Stockton uniform. The tally gave the Ospreys a 2-0 advantage that they took into halftime.
Â
In the second half, it was Belko's turn for her initial college goal, which was assisted by Ruff at 52:35. With 4:54 to play,
Alicia Leadbeater (Franklinville/Delsea) capped the 4-0 win as she potted her second goal of the season and Knight earned her second assist of the game on the play. Stockton goalkeeper
Liz Stankiewicz (Freehold Twp./Freehold Twp.) needed to make just two saves to record her second career shutout.
Â
Stockton will put their three-game winning streak on the line with a home game against Eastern University, which tops the Also Receiving Votes category of the NFHCA national poll, on Saturday at 1 pm.
