Boxscore(Glenside, PA) – Richard Stockton (1-0) got the 2014 season off to an exciting start with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Arcadia (0-1) on a game-winning goal by
Samantha Barcia (Berlin/Eastern) with just 1:12 remaining.
Alicia Belko (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) also contributed a goal and Stockton netminder
Liz Stankiewicz (Freehold Twp./Freehold Twp.) earned the win with nine saves.

Belko struck first for the Ospreys, potting a shot from the center of the circle 19:46 into the game to give Stockton a 1-0 lead. The Ospreys kept Arcadia off the board until late in the second half when Amanda Hess spoiled Stankiewicz's shutout bid with a goal that pulled the Knights into a 1-1 tie with 9:57 to play.

Stockton generated consecutive penalty corners in the last 90 seconds, the second of which resulted in the game-winning goal off the stick of Barcia with 1:12 on the clock. The tally was the first in a Stockton uniform for Barcia, a transfer from Drew University who finished in the top five in the nation in goals per game and points per game last year. Freshman
Leah Davies (Ocean City/Ocean City) recorded her first career point with the assist on the game-winner.

Stockton will play its home opener on Thursday, September 4 when the Ospreys host Swarthmore at 4 pm.
