Reading, PA – Richard Stockton (4-3) fell behind early and could not catch up to Alvernia (3-4), resulting in a 4-1 defeat. Cassie Kirk (Middletown/Middletown South) scored the lone goal for the Ospreys, who were outshot 17-7 but held a slight 11-10 edge in penalty corners.

Stockton found itself facing a deficit just 4:49 into the game as Margaret Wentzel scored for the Crusaders. Wetzel struck again at 19:42 and the Ospreys' deficit grew to 2-0. Late in the half, Emily Kelly added to Stockton's woes with Alvernia's third goal of the first half. The Ospreys were outshot 11-1 in the period and trailed 3-1 at the break.

Stockton generated six shots and nine penalty corners in the second half but could not close the gap on the Crusaders. After the first 30 minutes went scoreless, Summer Liberto made it a 4-0 game with 4:52 remaining. Kirk potted her second goal of the season on a rebound 1:26 later to avert the shutout for the Ospreys but the final result was a 4-1 defeat.

Starting goalkeeper Liz Stankiewicz (Freehold/Freehold Twp.) made five saves in the first half before giving way to Sara Winters (Blackwood/Triton) who saw her first action of the season and made four saves in the second stanza.
