Boxscore

Galloway, NJ – Richard Stockton (5-3, 2-0 NJAC) scored three goals in a 17-minute span of the first half and cruised to a 5-0 victory over Ramapo (1-10, 0-2) in an NJAC home game for the Ospreys. Lindsey Treptow (Bordentown/Bordentown) led Stockton with two goals and Laura Olbrich (Pittsgrove/A.P. Schalick) contributed a goal and an assist to the win. The Ospreys outshot Ramapo 27-10 and held a 12-5 advantage in penalty corners.

Treptow opened the scoring 14:51 into the game following a penalty corner. The insert came to Alexa Massa (Moorestown/Moorestown) who fed Treptow for a blast from the top of the circle. Nearly 10 minutes later, Treptow scored again from almost the same spot, her third goal of the season, following a pass into the circle by Elisha Hartman (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands).

With 3:19 left in the first half, Cassie Kirk (Middletown/Middletown South) poked a loose ball to Olbrich who banged it home from in front for a 3-0 Stockton lead. The Ospreys generated 16 shots and the only seven penalty corners in the first half.

Stockton kept up the pressure in the second half and its efforts paid off with two late goals to seal the win. Sophomore Kellie Brining (Cherry Hill/CH West) found some room in the circle, stickhandled around the Ramapo goalkeeper and deposited her first career goal into the cage at 59:42. With 4:39 remaining, Grace Kinney (Brigantine/GCIT) positioned herself at the right post and tapped in a pass from Olbrich for her first goal of the season to make it a 5-0 game.

Two Stockton goaltenders combined for the team's first shutout of the year. Starter Liz Stankiewicz (Freehold Twp./Freehold Twp.) made seven saves in the first 59:53 to earn the win and Sara Winters (Blackwood/Triton) preserved the shutout with one save in the last 10:07.

Stockton will visit College of New Jersey, which is ranked third in the nation by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association, for an NJAC game on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
