BoxscoreSt. Davids, PA – After opening the season with two straight wins, Richard Stockton (2-1) suffered its first defeat, a 3-1 setback in a road game at Eastern University (1-2).
Samantha Barcia (Berlin/Eastern) scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season and Ospreys' goalkeeper
Liz Stankiewicz (Freehold Twp./Freehold Twp.) made 10 saves, but Stockton was unable to overcome an early two-goal deficit.

Eastern struck quickly with Hannah Bartholomew finding the net just 59 seconds into the game and again at the 6:18 mark to put Stockton in an early 2-0 hole. Barcia extended her goal-scoring streak to three straight games by potting her own rebound with 1:16 left in the first half to pull the Ospreys within 2-1.

Stockton launched seven shots in the second half, but none found their mark. Stankiewicz kept it a one-goal game for most of the period with seven saves before Danielle Frasca broke through with an insurance tally for Eastern with 6:01 remaining in the game to set the 3-1 final score. Eastern outshot the Ospreys 20-15 overall, including 13-7 in the second half, but Stockton held a 13-8 advantage in penalty corners.

The Ospreys will return home to host Albright on Tuesday evening at 7 pm.
