Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University senior
Drew Coxson (Lancaster, Pa./Chatham) will take the field one more time after being selected by the
Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association to play in the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game.
Coxson, who graduated from Stockton on May 10, will play for the South All-Stars in the Division III contest, which will take place on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. She is one of 43 players who were selected to play.
Playing in the Senior All-Star Game will put a bow on an outstanding 2024 season for Coxson in which she was voted NJAC Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first Osprey ever to receive that honor, plus IWLCA Boardwalk Region First Team and NJAC First Team. Coxson also was named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week once during the season.
Coxson set school records for caused turnovers in a season (53) and career (89) plus ground balls in a season (53). She led the NJAC in caused turnovers (3.12/game) and finished second in the conference in ground balls (3.12/game) while helping Stockton to a school-record 14 victories (14-3 record) with her stellar defensive play.
