Chester, Pa. – Stockton University team members competed for the final time before the NCAA Championships as 11 Ospreys took part in a total of nine events at the Widener Final Qualifier, which featured a predominantly NCAA Division III field.

Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne), Kayla Sullivan (Manahawkin/Delaware Valley), Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) and Emma Conroy (Matawan/Matawan) seized their last chance by running a time of 3:47.57 in the 4x400 relay that vaulted the Ospreys into 17th on the NCAA performance list.

The quartet shattered their own school record by just under six seconds and edged TCNJ by seven tenths of a second in a match race.

Michaela Pomatto (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) recorded a season best 43.43 meters and finished fourth out of 15 in the discus. Maddy Valasek (Medford/Shawnee) ran a six-second personal best of 4:33.49 and finished 12th out of 46 runners in the 1500m.

Cameron Radcliffe (Pt. Pleasant/Pt. Pleasant Boro) ran the second-best times of her career in the 100m (12.75 seconds) and 200m (25.73 seconds) while placing 10th out of 29 in the 200m and 11th out of 24 in the 100m.

Kass and Petrolia are near the top of the qualifying list for the NCAA Championships at third in the 800m and seventh in the 400m hurdles respectively. The 4x400 relay is on the bubble at 17th and would become the first Stockton relay team of any kind to qualify for the NCAA Championships if they make it. The NCAA Championships are May 22-24 in Geneva, Ohio.
