2025 Stockton Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Season Recap

Overview
Stockton Women's Outdoor Track & Field competed in 11 meets during the 2025 season, including two home meets at G. Larry James Stadium. The Ospreys finished third in the NJAC Championships, placing in the top three for the 10th consecutive time. Two Ospreys qualified for the NCAA Championships, and both earned All-American status.
 
Head coach Claire Incantalupo helmed an experienced squad with 22 team members who were juniors or older. The roster was bolstered by a few key freshmen and transfers. Overall, Stockton recorded 27 event wins and 27 runner-up finishes. The Ospreys ranked in the top 30 nationally in three events and top eight of the Metro Region in 11 events.
 
The pair of All-American awards brought the program's total to 22 in women's outdoor track & field. In addition, Stockton team members earned 12 USTFCCCA all-region honors and 15 NJAC all-conference accolades as well as setting six school records this spring.

Highlights
  • Junior Kayla Kass fashioned an outstanding season that built toward her fourth career All-American honor at its conclusion. Individually, Kass recorded two event wins in the 800m and one in the 1500m as well as setting a new school record in the 800m. She ran legs for the 4x400 that won four times including the CTC race at the Penn Relays.
  • Kass ran legs for the 4x400 and 4x800 relays that set school records. She compiled two USTFCCCA all-region and two NJAC all-conference accolades. Kass ended the year by finishing seventh in the 800m at the NCAA Championships to earn First Team All-American status.
  • Junior Emma Petrolia became an All-American for the first time in her career by placing 16th in the 400m hurdles at the NCAA Championships. Petrolia won that event three times and added one victory in the triple jump during the season. She amassed a team-high three USTFCCCA all-region and three NJAC all-conference kudos.
  • Petrolia set school records in the 400m hurdles and triple jump as well as joining Kass on the 4x400 relay that set the school record and won four times.
  • Senior Michaela Pomatto capped her career with another strong season in the discus. Pomatto won twice, including her fourth straight conference title, and added two runner-up finishes on the way to USTFCCCA all-region and NJAC all-conference honors in the event.
  • Junior transfer Eva Morrison was a key addition to the roster. Morrison won the pole vault three times and finished second twice en route to all-region and all-conference awards.
  • Senior Kayla Sullivan and junior Emma Conroy joined Kass and Petrolia on the 4x400 relay that won four times, set the school record and ended the season ranked 27th in the nation. Sullivan and Conroy also collected all-region and all-conference spots in the event. Sullivan added a win in the 400m while Conroy ran a leg for a different 4x400 quartet that won once.
  • Junior Maddy Valasek racked up one win apiece in the 3000m, 5000m and 4x800 relay plus three individual runner-up finishes and one in a relay. Valasek added two all-conference awards and one all-region nod. She also ran a leg of the 4x800 that set the school record.
  • Senior Isabella Freda won twice and finished second once in the hammer throw. Freda qualified for all-region recognition in the event as well.
  • Sydney Rick, Marlie DiPalma and Adrienne Austin headlined the freshman class. Rick collected all-region and all-conference honors as well as one runner-up finish in the pole vault. DiPalma finished second in the 100m hurdles and long jump once each.
  • Austin and DiPalma comprised half of the 4x100 relay that set the school record and qualified for all-conference awards. Sophomores Isabel Duval and Cameron Radcliffe completed the young quartet. Austin also registered one runner-up finish apiece in the 100m and 200m.
  • Fifth-year Amanda McNally and junior Rachel Hayes joined Kass and Valasek on the 4x800 relay that set the school record. McNally also notched a win in the 800m and Hayes was the runner-up in the 1500m once.
