Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University senior Kirsten Bailey (Burlington/Burlington Twp.) was selected NJAC Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 15-21. Bailey received her first defensive honor in her career after having been named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week once last season.
 
A two-time NJAC First Team honoree, Bailey made two defensive saves against Washington College (Md.) on September 17 and then scored a goal on a penalty stroke in a 3-1 victory over Alvernia on Saturday.
 
For the season, Bailey leads the NJAC in shots (44) and shots on goals (22) and sits tied for first with four defensive saves. She leads the team with four goals and three assists for 11 points. Bailey currently has nine defensive saves in her career, tied for third in Stockton history.
 
The Stockton field hockey squad will have two home matches this week, starting with a home game against Widener University on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. The Ospreys then will host Albright College on Saturday in a 10:00 a.m. start.
