(Fort Pierce, FL) – Richard Stockton (5-1) swept a doubleheader for the second straight day as the Ospreys downed Bridgewater State (MA) 7-5 and 19-2 to build a five-game winning streak. George Eisenhart (Harrison Twp./Clearview) paced Stockton with seven hits on the day while Mike Bush (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) registered five hits.

Bush went 3-4 with two runs and two stolen bases while Eisenhart was 2-4 with a triple, run scored and three RBI in the first game. Stockton jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning as Eisenhart tripled in two runs and scored on an RBI single by Mark Jankowski (Washington Twp./Washington Twp.). The Ospreys led 6-1 after three innings and held on for the 7-5 win.

Eisenhart led a 25-hit onslaught in the nightcap by going 5-6 with three runs and two RBI. Matt Mangarella (Milltown/Spotswood) was 3-5 with three RBI and two runs while Brett Solomen (Harrison Twp./Clearview) added three hits, two runs and two RBI. Twelve Ospreys knocked at least one hit in the game.

Stockton started quickly with four runs on six hits in the top of the first and broke the game open with seven more tallies on eight hits in the second frame for a whopping 11-0 lead. The Ospreys later tacked on eight more runs in the last four innings for the 19-2 final score. Starter James DiPiazza (Bayville/Central Regional) tossed the first four innings for the win, allowing one run on two hits with two strikeouts.

After a day off tomorrow, Stockton will play a doubleheader against Hilbert College (NY) on Friday at 10 am.
