Stockton Racks Up NJAC Honors in Historic Season

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University was rewarded for a historic 2026 softball season with three NJAC awards and nine all-conference honors. The Ospreys won the NJAC regular season title and entered the NFCA national poll, both for the first time in program history.
 
Alexa Panagopoylos (Atco/Hammonton) was voted NJAC Player of the Year and Emily Clauss (Delanco/BCIT) was chosen NJAC Rookie of the Year. The Stockton coaching staff of head coach Mavreen Hering and assistants Abby Mace, Joe Costantini, Michelle Neveling and Alexis Bermudez were selected as the Dr. June Walker NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year.
 
Panagopoylos, Clauss, McKenna George (Centennial, Colo./Eaglecrest), Emma Coldsnow (Yorktown, Va./Tabb), Camryn Harry (Swedesboro/Paul VI) and Lexi Liquori (Union/Union) were tabbed NJAC First Team.
 
Cassie Stallwood (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) was selected NJAC Second Team while Evangelina Kim (Egg Harbor Twp./Atlantic Christian) and Casey Sokol (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) picked up NJAC Honorable Mention nods.
 
Panagopoylos earned her third straight all-conference honor, with George and Coldsnow earning their second straight accolades. Clauss, Stallwood, Harry, Liquori, Kim and Sokol were selected for the first time in their careers.
 
Panagopoylos became Stockton's first NJAC Player of the Year since the conference scrapped its old two-division format in 2001. The third baseman led the league in batting (.468), hits (29) and doubles (11) during conference games. Panagopoylos also finished second in RBI (22), fourth in OPS (1.194), seventh in slugging percentage (.694) and tied for ninth in on-base percentage (.500).
 
Panagopoylos was named NJAC Player of the Week on April 20. She collected her first NJAC First Team selection after two straight NJAC Second Team honors.
 
Clauss became Stockton's second consecutive NJAC Rookie of the Year, succeeding George, and fourth in program history. The shortstop batted .417 during league play and finished third in OPS (1.208), tied for third in home runs (3), tied for fifth in RBI (17) and sixth in slugging percentage (.708). Clauss was named NJAC Rookie of the Week on April 20.
 
Coldsnow earned her second straight NJAC First Team nod on the strength of a .460 batting average (3rd in NJAC), 23 hits (T-3rd in NJAC), a .578 on-base percentage (3rd in NJAC) and 1.178 OPS (7th in NJAC) during conference games. Coldsnow also tallied two home runs and 10 RBI in league play.
 
George was elevated to the NJAC First Team after NJAC Second Team and NJAC Co-Rookie of the Year accolades last season. The catalyst at the top of the lineup, the centerfielder finished third in stolen bases (11) and fifth in batting (.447) and on-base percentage (.532) during the 18 league games. She was named NJAC Player of the Week on April 6.
 
Harry added more thump to the lineup, batting .400 and placing third in the NJAC in doubles (10), fourth in slugging percentage (.727), fifth in OPS (1.196), tied for fifth in hits (22), tied for sixth in homers (2) and tied for seventh in RBI (16) during conference play. The first baseman was chosen NJAC Rookie of the Week on April 27.
 
Liquori was a key part of the Stockton pitching staff that helped the Ospreys claim their first-ever NJAC regular season title. In a team-high 51 innings pitched during conference play, the junior went 7-1 and tied for the league lead with two saves. Liquori also finished tied for third in wins (7), fourth in opposing batting average (.222) and sixth in ERA (1.78).
 
Stallwood played in 16 of Stockton's 18 conference games and came on strong later in the season, hitting safely in the last 13 NJAC contests. The freshman right-fielder batted .419 with 18 hits, 12 runs and four RBI in conference play.
 
Kim joined the starting lineup nearly a month into the season and contributed offensively and defensively. The second baseman tied for fourth in the NJAC in stolen bases (8) and finished 10th in batting (.433) while playing 16 league games. Kim also scored 11 runs and provided speed at the bottom of the batting order.
 
Sokol showed her versatility as a pitcher and hitter. The sophomore hurled 34 innings in conference play, tying Liquori for the NJAC lead with two saves and placing fifth with 41 strikeouts. Sokol pitched a no-hitter against Rutgers-Newark on April 24 in the last game of the regular season. At the plate, she batted .286 with nine RBI and four runs.
 
Head coach Hering and assistants Mace, Costantini, Neveling and Bermudez collected NJAC coaching honors after steering the Ospreys to a 30-7 overall record during a season of firsts. Stockton claimed its first-ever NJAC regular season title with a 16-2 league mark and entered the NFCA national poll for the first time.
 
With a ranking of 14th in the NCAA Power Index, Stockton is poised to receive an at-large NCAA Tournament berth that would be its first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
