Val Brown ’85 is the all-time leading scorer in Stockton women’s basketball history with 2,027 career points.

Brown earned NJAC First Team Honors twice (1984-85) and averaged over 20 points per game in three of her four seasons at Stockton.

Brown led the Ospreys to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in women’s basketball in 1984, and she holds nine school records.

Brown’s jersey number 35 was retired by Stockton in 2000 prior to the first women's basketball game in The Sports Center.
